01About this notice#
This Cookie & Storage Notice explains what the website at jact.tech (the “site”) saves in your web browser, why, and how you can remove it. The site is operated by Jactechnology LLC (“Jactechnology”, “we”, “us”), an IT services company based in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. Please read it together with our Privacy Policy, which explains more broadly how we handle personal information.
This website does not set any cookies.
Cookies and browser storage, in plain terms
Cookies are small text files that a website asks your browser to keep and that your browser sends back to that website with later requests. Browser storage (here, localStorage) is a small storage area that your browser keeps for one website: only pages from that same website can read it, and it is not sent to any server automatically. Laws about cookies usually cover both, so this notice describes both.
Effective date: October 5, 2026. Last updated: October 5, 2026.
This notice is published in English and Spanish. The Spanish version is a courtesy translation; if the two versions differ, the English version controls.
02What we store in your browser#
Our main pages save at most two items (our older product overview page is covered in section 04). Both live in localStorage, both are set by us (first party), and each is saved only after you take an action:
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
jt_lang | Remembers the language you chose (en or es) so that the next pages open in that language. Saved only when you use the EN | ES switch or open a link that sets the language. | Strictly necessary / functional (localStorage, first party) | Until you clear it |
jt_consent | Remembers your privacy choice so that the privacy notice is not shown on every page. Saved only when you press Got it. Stored value: {"v":1,"essential":true,"analytics":false,"ts":"…"} | Strictly necessary (localStorage, first party) | Until you clear it |
What the jt_consent value means: v is the version of the privacy notice you saw; essential is always true because these two settings are needed for the site to work the way you asked; analytics is always false because we use no analytics; and ts is the date and time you made your choice.
Neither item is ever sent to our server or to anyone else. Neither contains your name, your contact details or any identifier assigned to you, and neither can be used to recognize you on other websites.
We treat both items as strictly necessary: each one is saved only after you act, and only to remember that action. That is why the site does not ask for separate consent before saving them, consistent with the exemption for strictly necessary storage in rules such as the EU ePrivacy Directive and the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations.
With JavaScript turned off, nothing is saved at all: the site is shown in English and the privacy notice does not appear.
The contact form saves nothing
The “New message” contact window does not save your draft, the send method you pick, or anything you type, either in your browser or on our server. Your draft exists only in the open page. Copy message puts the text on your device’s clipboard when you press it; Send does the same only when a draft is too long to fit in a web address, so you can paste it in.
Two things that are not cookies or site storage
- Your browser’s cache. As with any website, your browser may keep copies of our files (styles, scripts, fonts and images) so that pages load faster. These files are the same for every visitor and contain nothing about you.
- Server logs. Our hosting server keeps standard access logs (IP address, date and time, requested URL, referring URL and browser user agent) for security and troubleshooting, for no longer than 90 days. They are kept on the server, not on your device; they are not cookies; and they are never sold or shared except as required by law. The Privacy Policy explains them.
03What we do not use#
The site does not use any of the following:
- Cookies of any kind. Our pages do not create cookies, and we do not ask any other company to set cookies through them.
- Analytics, statistics or visitor-measurement tools.
- Advertising, retargeting or affiliate tracking.
- Tracking pixels, web beacons or tracking links.
- Browser fingerprinting, or any other technique to identify you or follow you across websites.
- Session recording, heatmaps or keystroke logging.
- Social media buttons, plugins or embedded content, such as videos or maps.
- Third-party chat widgets.
- Other browser storage:
sessionStorage, IndexedDB, offline caches or service workers.
Because the site uses none of these, there is nothing optional to switch on or off. If that ever changes, we will update this notice first (see section 08).
04Other services and third parties#
A few features hand you over to services run by other companies. Those companies decide what they store in your browser, under their own cookie and privacy policies. We do not control that storage and receive nothing from it.
Sending a message from the contact window
With JavaScript turned on, the contact window offers four ways to send: Send with Gmail (the default), Send with Outlook on the web, Open in my email app and Copy message.
- Gmail and Outlook on the web. Your browser opens the provider’s own website (mail.google.com, run by Google LLC, or outlook.office.com, run by Microsoft Corporation) in a new tab, with your draft included in the web address so that the provider can prefill it. That website may set and read its own cookies and storage, for example to keep you signed in. They are set by that provider, not by us.
- Open in my email app. Your browser hands the draft to the program your device uses for email links, through a standard
mailto:link. - Copy message. Nothing leaves your device until you paste the text somewhere yourself.
With JavaScript turned off, the form works only through your own email app. Nothing reaches us until you press Send in Gmail, Outlook or your email program. The Privacy Policy describes the contact form in full.
Our Multi-Retail AI overview page
Our older product overview page (/jcreports2.html) loads two files from other companies: an icon font from cdnjs.cloudflare.com, a content delivery network operated by Cloudflare, Inc., and a text font from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com), operated by Google LLC. To deliver those files, these providers receive your IP address and standard browser information, such as your browser type, and handle it under their own privacy policies. We do not ask them to set cookies, and we receive no information from those requests. That page also has a light and dark theme button; if it remembers your theme choice, that setting stays in your browser, is not sent to us and contains nothing about you, and clearing the stored data for jact.tech (section 05) removes it. Every other page of the site loads its fonts, images and scripts only from our own server.
Other links
Our client support portal (support.jact.tech) is a separate service for existing clients and is not covered by this notice. Other websites we link to have their own cookie and privacy practices, which we encourage you to review.
05How long they last and how to clear them#
Both settings stay in your browser until you delete them. They have no expiry date of their own, but your browser may remove them automatically, for example when you close a private or incognito window, when storage runs low, or after a period without visits.
To remove them, delete the stored data for jact.tech in your browser’s settings. Menu names change between browsers, versions and languages; if a step below does not match what you see, your browser’s help pages have current instructions.
| Browser | Where to look |
|---|---|
| Google Chrome (computer) | Settings › Privacy and security › Site settings › View permissions and data stored across sites. Search for jact.tech and delete its data. |
| Microsoft Edge | Settings › Cookies and site permissions › Manage and delete cookies and site data › See all cookies and site data. Search for jact.tech and delete it. |
| Mozilla Firefox | Settings › Privacy & Security › Cookies and Site Data › Manage Data…. Search for jact.tech, choose Remove Selected, then Save Changes. |
| Safari (Mac) | Safari › Settings › Privacy › Manage Website Data…. Search for jact.tech and choose Remove. |
| Safari (iPhone and iPad) | Settings › Apps › Safari › Advanced › Website Data (on older versions, Settings › Safari › Advanced › Website Data). Find jact.tech and delete it. |
| Google Chrome (Android) | Menu › Settings › Site settings › All sites › jact.tech, then choose the option to delete its data. |
Tip: in most browsers you can also select the icon to the left of the web address while you are on jact.tech to reach this site’s settings and stored data directly.
After you clear them, the site opens in English again (unless the link you follow sets another language), and the privacy notice appears again on your next visit. Nothing else changes.
You can also block site data for jact.tech, or for all websites. The site keeps working: each page opens in English (you can still switch language on any page), and the privacy notice may reappear because your choice cannot be saved.
06Change your privacy choice#
The site has no optional cookies or storage, so your privacy choice simply confirms that you have read how the site handles your privacy. You can review it at any time:
The same Privacy choices link appears in the footer of every page and reopens the privacy notice. Pressing Got it again saves a new date and time in jt_consent. Without JavaScript, the notice does not appear and nothing is saved; clearing this site’s data (see section 05) resets any choice you made earlier.
07Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track#
Global Privacy Control (GPC) is a setting in some browsers and extensions that tells websites you do not want your personal information sold or shared. We honor it. When your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and of any optional (non-essential) cookie or storage category we might add in the future, and the privacy notice shows “Global Privacy Control detected and honored.” Because we already do not sell or share personal information and use no optional storage, the site works the same with or without GPC.
Do Not Track. Because we do not track visitors over time or across websites, there is nothing for a Do Not Track signal to switch off.
08Changes to this notice#
We may update this notice when the site changes or when the law requires it. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, for material changes, note them on the site. If we ever decide to use cookies or any optional storage, we will update this notice before we start and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent first.
09Contact us#
If you have questions about this notice or about how the site uses browser storage, email jcaceres@jactechnologygroup.com. For a privacy request, please use the subject line “Privacy request”; the Privacy Policy explains your rights and how we respond.
